Angus Dundee Distillers has over 60 years experience of distilling, bottling and exporting Scotch Whisky products and other spirits around the world. Angus Dundee has two single malt distilleries: Tomintoul situated in the prestigious Speyside Glenlivet region and Glencadam located in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland.

Glencadam Distillery opened in 1825, just one year after distilling on a large scale was legalised. Since then, little has changed and our award-winning Single Scotch Malt Whisky is still produced in the same fashion as it was in 1825.

Glencadam Distillery is located about half a mile outside the ancient city of Brechin, in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. We rely on the purest spring water from the Unthank Hills to create our elegant and refined spirit.

We have operated two pot stills at Glencadam since we began. The lye pipes on our stills run upwards at an angle of 15 degrees, which is most unusual. This helps to produce a mellow character, which after maturation yields sweet, fruity and aromatic notes.

All our age statement whiskies are bottled at 46%, unchillfiltered and are free from added colouring, just as it was meant to be. The whisky’s natural characteristics are retained and the aromatic components are preserved to enhance presence and flavour.

Located near to the village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland in the prestigious Glenlivet Estate at the heart of the Speyside region, lies Tomintoul Distillery.

Built in 1964 our distillery uses traditional techniques that stretch back hundreds of years, to make our award-winning single malt, “the gentle dram”. The natural environment, fresh air and pure water all add to our uniquely smooth, fruity spirit.

In Scottish Gaelic Tomintoul literally means “hill of the barn” and the correct way to pronounce it is “Tom-in-TOWEL”
